What court case doesn’t big company with unlimited funds win?
I am actually surprised it got as far as a winning verdict for Nintendo. Usually it ends with a settlement where the other side has to just shut down because they can’t afford a prolonged legal battle.
Edit: Spelling
Well that wasn’t in US or Japan but in French court so might not be as easy to pull that bs there. Still I was surprised a bit about the result but I guess it’s in line with how France is handling online services now.
Sony vs Bleem!
Nintendo vs Tengen
Nintendo vs Atari
Nintendo vs Galoob
Nintendo vs Blockbuster
All of those other companies are dead though.
Nintendo can’t stop suing. It’s simply time to stop giving them money, cuz they’re pissing it away on lawsuits against websites that are making available games Nintendo refuses to sell us.
Valve origin story?
Valve isn’t perfect but they’ve been more often than not the good guy. Just recently, the TF2 community wanted more freedom to make full-fledged mods of their own, so Valve released the source code and allowed free standalone mods to be listed on the Steam store.
