This is not supported by the references in the linked article. They only talk about the printers refusing to do automatic registration with third-party cartridges.
Okay, so after reading this, they’re not specifically degrading print quality, they’re just making you do the alignment manually. This is probably legal, but still scummy.

365’s OWA, not Outlook. I assume desktop Outlook still works with their Exchange backend because it’s just a redirect loop error. They should have it fixed pretty quick.
Well, not 100% safe. They still control firmware in the radios and such. And they could include a separate processor that just listens to what you’re doing and sends it over the cell radio.
